What Heater To Get

im currently setting up my first tank

will a 300w heater be good enough
the one at the pet shop says its good for 75 us gallon i think its a visitech

my tank is 75 uk gallon

also ive got a fluval 304 external filter is this goining to be fine

75uk gallon is a big tank. I would say 2 heaters would be best to keep temp stable around the tank. As for the fluval 304. It really depends on what your going to stock it with. With the size of this tank though, i would personally have 2 canisters running, eheims that is.

dont forget your set up could weigh upto half a ton, so check the floor can handle it.

On my 75 gallon, I am running 2 Fluval 304s with a Hydor inline heater on each of them. It works great. I have heard that the Eheims are better filters than the Fluvals. Personally, I have not experienced any problems with the Fluvals but it has only been about 6 months since I set it up. Regardless of which filter you use, I would highly recommend the inline heaters. That's one less thing to have hanging in the tank.
 
Whatever you do, make sure you get a good quality brand. The coils on cheap heaters inevitably fuse together, sticking the heater in 'on' mode and killing the tank if it isn't caught on time.
