Hey guys,
A few weeks ago my male mickey mouse platy went from his normal orangy colour to an almost yellowy colour, with his black 'mickey mouse' symbol going grey. He was still swimming around fine and appeared to have had no other problems -skin, fins etc. The water was all normal and the other two platys were fine. After about a week he went back to normal, so i put it down to stress as it happened after a water change.
Yesterday his girlfriend gave birth to their babies and he just died. He was all pale and laying on his side at the bottom. After a little while, when i was sure he was dead, i pulled him out and gave him a closer inspection. There was nothing wrong with him. The only thing i can think of is that he was just weak, as his sister died straight after getting her home from the shop.
Has anyone else experienced this? Did i do anything wrong?
Thanks
