don't know what happened guys-
but suddenly my pearl has been bullyin'

i'm worried about the draf now cause
my pearl been harrassing them pretty bad-

it all started when my friend ask me a favor to rehome his
blue gourami for a while- but it ended in a bucket-
cause my pearl gonna tear him apart- :(

i saw my pearl having the time of his life eating PLECO WAFER- TETRA-
then the aggression begins- i am now thinkin that it might be the cause
but to be honest i have no idea---

please can anyone explais this odd behaviour--

thanks---

oh dear! how long can gouramis
stay in a bucket full of water-
cause i hadno choice but to put
them there ATM cause in my observation
my pearl gourami is really willing to kill them

:(

strange why she is become a bully,
i have a pair in my tank and have had no problems, i did have a problem with a blue spot though he was very agressive and had to be removed.
i bought a pair of snakeskins and one of them is becomming a bit full on.
I wonder if its because yours is the biggest fish in the tank? not sure if getting her a male would help or make things worse.

My normally very calm and chilled out pearl gourami bullys the rasboras a bit when i feed them blood worms, but this is the only time i ever see here activly chase down other fish.

strangly she doesnt bother with the guppies.

I had a gold gourami in my tank and up until he got full grown he was my favorite fish. Unfortunately he started bullying my other fish especially my blue dwarf gourami, his fins were looking pretty sad. I took him into a petshop and they gave me a couple mollies in exchange. i didn't want to get rid of him but I couldn't afford to go buy another tank just to accomodate him.

Actually from the photo you posted this is a young male pearl. In My experience this is a bit odd the only thing that I can think of is he's trying to dominate. Yes from the picture I can tell you have an unmature male the fins may be round tight now but the color is to great to be a female. But dominating is the only thing I can think of since these fish are normally peaceful cause right now I have 1 females and 2 males that get along great.
