Used to feed only frozen bloodworms / blackworms and every now and then live bloodworms/blackworms. Now I feed Tetramin tropical flakes for 2 days and frozen bloodworms 2 days, with a pinch of boiled egg yolk as a treat once every 3 days.

Never tried Hikari to know, but might be similar to Tetramin.

i feed my cichlids and other fish that like to eat them cichlid gold pellets. small ones and medium sized ones, i also feed them jmc high protein food which is mainly for the smaller fish such as my rainbow fish and rasboras. high quality flakes for all fish apart from the big cichlids. cucumber for my plecs and loaches. algae wafwers mainly for my coreys. bloodworm and once every 3 months i feed brine shrimp. a very rich diet indeed. keeps fish healthy.
