hi all

after hearing about the siamese fighters i think i will leave that one aone for a while,

but i am after bright tropical fish such as bright red and possibly black but mainly fancy and red any ideas ???

thanks

If its a community tank Red Tailed Sharks are always a good bet as they stand out, they are quite active, cheap, and grow to the size of your tank. Although i had to once remove a new siamese figher as it bullied my shark! So i wouldnt suggest putting a RTBS in with a fioghter anyway!

RTBS are OK if the tank is 40g+, and you aren't planning on any other shark shaped fish. There aren't many red and black fish though.

Please research your own answers before committing them on here,

un-educated and in-appropriate advice will lead to stressed fish.

How large is your tank dan? We can't suggest anything unless we know what space it's going into?

Paul.

I have never tried them personally, but they look appropriate. Boraras brigittae. It depends on the size of your tank and what other fish you want to add. You can never go wrong with guppies. Try red moscow's or japanese red grass.

hope i dont get slated here but....... i have a tank with a red tail black shark and a red siamese fighter fish and they get on fine - had no problems what so ever. i also have a silver shark who is fine with the RTBS. although ive got another tank so if they start to fight ive got somewhere else to put one of them.
