What Fish Is This?

Thanks Guys, How soon does he have to go? Is this a definate or does it depend what he is? He is only teeny at the moment smaller than my small cardinals I just bought so will be ok for a while until i rehome him. I can always take him back to the lfs, I may pop in this weekend and try and figure out what he is. I dont have an extra tank at the moment. x

Tbh it shouldn't pose a threat to the other fish, its fully grown at 2" and only takes up a tiny territory compared to other cichlid species meaning that if you wanted a small group could theoretically work in a community setup, provided they have some rock caves or ideally shells for them to call home

His dorsal fin is more the shape of the badis I have just googled. Its also jagged/spikey all the way along. I will try and get back to the lfs this weekend to see what they have in the shop to get a better idea. If not I will take some pics when he is a bit bigger which will make it easier to tell. I am quite enjoying this guess the fish.lol! I just think it is so random how I ended up with it! x

Guess we will just have to wait and see with this little one, either way its rather cute
