ok so i went and bought another female cherry barb and a male one aswell so that's 3 of them now, they really get on great, and the ruby shark is being rehomed/adopted/fostered tomorrow at a friends house because he is a fishtank terrorist!

will be sad to see him go though

Yea i think we will get some more barbs, but not nippy ones, any recommendations?

i've tried to get some pics of them here, but they never stay still for one second lol

also in these pics is the shark, darth maul, who will be leaving us at 6pm tonight! but he isn't going far!

i think you can see my emperor tetra and dalmation molly in there somewhere aswell, i also got some rummy nose tetras aswell and i think we will get more of them too, they are great!

Have a look at Five Banded Barbs...lovely fish to watch and mine get along great with my male and female Cherry Barbs.

I saw some five banded barbs in the shop yestersay and really fancied some but i thought they might be a bit like tiger barbs are they a lot more.placid to other tankmates then?

Yes...although they do bear a slight resemblence to their bigger, more aggressive cousins,the Tiger Barbs, they are alot more peaceful.

strange, i thought baby golden barb, looks too yellow to me to be a female cherry barb (my females are more brownish orange)

yea i did at first but i got a few more of the other barbs and she is identical and they are getting along fine, the ruby shark has just been rehomed tonight so fingers crossed we will have one happy tank!
