What Fish Is This And Can I Keep It In An Aquarium?

think if i kept it with tropical fish like platies and catfish id be fine?

I'd imagine the water it came from is cold/temperate, so it'd most likely need a cool water environment, not tropical.

It kinda looks like a crappie, A better picture would be great, but if it is a crappie, I wouldnt suggest putting it in a tank with other fish, I've caught crappie that are about 14 inches. But it looks like it could be a white crappie!! Where are you located and could you write a good description of it? I might be able to ID it better!! Good Luck!!

Was the mouth more facing up than down? and What color are the eyes? And stripes thru the eyes?
