What Fish Is Good For

what fish is good for eating snails? My friend has a 60 gallon tank with tiger barbs that has pond snails in it. She would rather a fish to eat them than to pick them out by hand. Any recommendations are welcome.

Get Assassin Snails, I had a nice group of them that I put in my community tank... pest snails we're gone with in the week!

I know they aren't fish but apparently some shrimp eat snails

oh and assasin snails..

Loaches, just remember they're sociable so keep them in groups and they'll eat the lot.

Get a pair of opal gourami's they'll make short work of the snails and add some colour

Personally I'd go for loaches.
But if you want another way you could put some cucumber in the tank in the evening and when you come down in the morning it should be covered in snails.
Do that for a while and you'll soon have gotten rid of the snails.

Not all loaches seem to be good at eating snails. I have kuhlis and some other loach and am getting overrun with snails in both tanks.

I was just looking for a good place to buy assassin snails. I think they will be worth a try. I've been hearing very good things about them and they look attractive too.
