Hi and welcome to the forum :)

What are the tank dimensions (length x width x height)?

What is the GH (general hardness) and pH of your water supply. This information can usually be obtained from your water supply company's website or by telephoning them. If they can't help you, take a glass full of tap water to the local pet shop and get them to test it for you. Write the results down (in numbers) when they do the tests. And ask them what the results are in (eg: ppm, dGH, or something else).

Colin asked about hardness because your lists contain both soft water fish (neon tetras, betta) and hard water fish (guppies, platies, mollies) and you need to choose fish that come from the same type of water as your tap water.

A couple of other points - mollies are big fish and need a tank bigger than 13 gallons.
Bettas are not community fish. It is best to keep these fish alone - though nerite snails do make good tank mates for bettas.

Hello, and welcome to the forum! :hi:

How many gallons is your tank? :)

Work it out you slacker :)

To work out the volume of water in the tank:
measure length x width x height in cm.
divide by 1000.
= volume in litres.
When you measure the height, measure from the top of the substrate to the top of the water level.

There is a calculator/ converter in the "How To Tips" at the top of this page that will let you convert litres to gallons if you need it.

There are US and UK gallons and they have different amounts.
