What Do You Feed Your Fish?

This question comes up a lot and has very varied answers because of the different dietry requirements of the various species kept.

My predatory fish get a main diet of fish, cockles, clams, mussels, prawns and carnivor sticks/pellets with occasional treats of earthworms, live shrimp and live crickets.

My omnivorous fish get a main diet of mysis shrimp, gamma shrimp, bloodworm, flakes, catfish pellets and occasional treats of live daphnia and insect larvae which i collect from buckets outside.

My vegetarian fish (yeah right) get blanched courgette and rommaine lettuce and whatever they steal off the other fish, plecs are partial to mussels and clams and silver dollars & leporinus take all manor of small live and frozen foods.

Mine get sinking shrimp tablets, catfish pellets, algae wafers , flake daily and frozen bloodworm and cucumber a couple of times a week.

I give my fish algae wafers, freeze dried brine shrimp, frozen brine shrimp, frozen bloodworms, freeze dried bloodworms, shrimp pellets, zuchinni, tropical flake food, and freeze dried tubifex worms.

My bettas get betta pellets, and the frozen brine shrimp/bloodworms.

how often do you alternate between these foods and do you just drop the frozen cube in????

Normally flakes, occasionly Tetra Delica bloodworms, but I'm starting to feed the bettas pellets (Betta Bio Gold- Aquatics Online has *finally* got some in, with 25% extra free). Peas sometimes too.

(depending on the fish)

Arowana gets...live food mainly...black field crickets, locusts, superworm, worms...frozen food he sometimes eats is prawns and mussles.

Plecs and catfish get fed...catfish chips, catfish pellets, they love mussels, and occasionally they eat cucumber.

Black ghost knifefish gets fed.....catfish pellets (his favorite), prawn and shrip brime.

All my other fish eat falkes and blood worm but they also have a nibble at the other foods dropped in the tank as above
:hey:

my bettas get tetraprima pellet food, freeze dried bloodworms (i know, not the BEST), peas and occasional earthworms from my garden and bugs that get in my room!

my lil bristlenose doesn't seem to eat anything, but i put in cucumber & plec flakes for him.

Right now under in my 55G stand cubord I have:
Tropical fish flakes
Wardley cichlid flakes
Wardley shrimp
Baby shrimp
Bloodworms
Betta pellets
Cichlid sticks
Algy Wafers
Prolly a few more, I just can't think of em'....

(I keep all my fish food in that cabnet, its easier to know where everything is..)

My livebearers get flakes and a weekly treat of Tetradelica bloodworm of daphnia (sometimes the same brand brine shrimp- which is enriched); also a weekly or twice-weekly serving of peas, spinach or chard (whenever the humans eat anything suitable).

The corys have the same but with catfish tablets instead of flakes. They'v been having a bit more of the Tetradelica stuff lately to keep their strength up while spawning.

The fry get TetraMin fry food, but help themselves to anything served in the livebearer tank.
