What Do You Feed Bettas?

Hello all,

I'm looking to be getting a betta once I'm cycled. I got a tub of flake with my tank but I know that's not all fish need/want to eat. I've been doing some internet research into what I need to feed the species I've got, but there seem to be very little clear cut answers.

So, what do you feed your bettas?

I feed mine specially mad for Betta fish food. I've heard of some people feeding their bettas live brine shrimp.

mine get a varied diet of 2 different betta pellets, shrimp pellets, bloodworm & veggies

I give mine betta flakes and bloodworms. Fast once a week followed up with a pea.

Mine get a variety. Frozen foods (mosquito larvae, bloodworms, daphnia in moderation). Brine shrimp. Live white worms. Flakes. Cucumber & peas

Mine get the crispy Flakes and once in a while I treat them to baby brine shrimp and bloodworms. They go ape over the Candy foods like the shrimp and blood worms but I try not to give them that stuff often as they can carry deseases unlike the flake or pellet foods.

I have not had much luck feeding them fresh veggies other then some of my Bettas taking a liking to pea guts so I'm wondering, for those that do feed them veggies, what kind of fresh veggies have you been able to get your Bettas to like?

I've seen foods around for specific species of fish but wasn't sure if they were actually any good or just a gimmick. Glad to hear the betta food gets the thumbs up
