Jagger's very perky, considering he jumped the divider 4 times last week to let Alpha tear his fins apart (while I was gone! Augh!)! Anyway, I put a piece of styrofoam in with him (and mind you, he's in the portion of the tank with the filter), and he blew a bigger bubblenest in an hour and a half than Alpha did in two days with a female in the tank! So, I was looking at my girls and trying to decide who would make the best match with him, and I think this little girl (still unnamed) is his best match for coloring and evenness of her fins. What do you think? He has a bit of blue on his whitish spots. What do you think the outcome would be?

Oh, and him with his bubblenest. :)

i think they would make a good pair colorwise.... im not to sure about the fins tho... i dont kno much there lol.... but wateva u do i wish u luck...

I hope they spawn for you :) got my fingers crossed again lol

Hi

Personally, i would let his fins repair before breeding. He could be nipped by her just as easily as her by him. You wouldn't want him to get an infection or the like. He's a super fish in full fin so IMO i would rest him up.

Cheers

bronzecat- thank you. I would wait for a while to at least condition them before putting them together. I'm not 100% sure his fins will grow back fully, but they've made great progress so far.

I suppose I'll have to find a DT female. They just aren't sold around here...at all...and I can't do another import for one fish. Darn! I'll have to keep looking. I do, eventually, want to breed him though. I just think he's neat. :)

I'm sure one will turn up just when you least expect it. Like i said he's a great looking betta.
Best of luck
