What Do Ya Think Of This?

Ive seen this idea before and it has stuck in the back of my mind ever since.

The reason being, when i first saw this i thought what if i had three or more tanks conected in this way.
Each tank being diffrent, say one tank heavley planted one tank bare apart from substrate and one tank filed with rocks and caves or such.

Then the fish would be able to choose whichever imviroment they preferd.

This was on TV a couple of weeks ago.... He said when he first started it he had a leak while they were out, and got home to 70-80 gallons of water on there living room floor.
