i havent seen that one yet, il have a look at it now, and im also going to order some black backround aswell now i think

would that suit it beter?
Coloured gravels by Roman are dyed and the dye does come off, in my experience. I recommend the black quartz gravel by Dennerle as it is not dyed.

Alternatively, if you ever want to keep Corys, sand would be a better option. I normally use play sand.

sorry i didnt mean that exact gravel, just somthing along the lines of that colour, i was thinking about corys, but i think my tank is a bit small for a group of them so i never looked into it more

I considered this too before i answered, but IMO a 60 litre tank is too small for Cory's unless considering a Pygmy species?

Didn't realise they were dyed though...

My personal favourite substrate is Limpopo sand by Unipac. Cheap for what it is and is great for planting in.

i have bin thinking about sand, but i dont know anything about it, like cleaning it and that, so i stayed from it. becasue il only end up doing it wrong

Do you mean cleaning to prepare it or in the long term? To prepare, it is the same as with any gravel, to maintain, just syphon the poo off the top and slightly stir it occasionally. It is quite easy.

As for Corys, assuming the bottom area of your tank is the standard 60*30 cm, any of the species I list here are fine in a group of 6 - 10 of one species: http://aquariumadventure.wordpress.com/species-for-a-60-litre-aquariums/

yea i meant like cleaning up and that after it was ing the tank, yea that is the size of the tank, and i have no clue about the scientific name of the fish lol, id have to copy and paste them all into google to find out lol

Then learn them :good: the same common names can be used for lots of species, which means that someone who thinks they're buying a small species may end up buying a tank buster, for example, or peaceful community fish vs. aggressive bully.

it would take me a verylong time to learn them, and if i was to get a fish or wanted any i would do alot of research into it before buyin anything, as i would hate to have wrong kinds of fish in the tank

Oh, you'll pick it up as you go along :) Even I don't know most of them by heart, but you'll definitely pick up at least some genera over the years… you should already know a few, like Corydoras for example, so you should be able to find them really easily. All 6 species I list have been known to be called "dwarf Cory"

yea i think they the only ones i know lol, maybe when i evetually get sand il look into getin some corys then. ( if i go for sand instead of grvel that is)

are any of these corys the ones on the list?

No, but I can't resist pointing out that only 3 species on that page are not listed under the scientific name anyway ;) they're just swapping the first and second half for the most part, with some modification to the suffix! (Albino and bronze Corys are the same species, just different colour morphs)

Likely candidates might be labelled as dwarf or pygmy. If you're going to be buying online in UK, I can recommend Trimar :good:

Cheers for the name, I just cheked the site out and bookmarked it for safekeeping lol, when I'm ready to add more fish I will defo give it a good look over, prices seem good toom

Thanksm

The fish were always good quality from them and the shop looked good enough the only time I visited it in person :)

i have changed my tank slightly no, have moved the wood and added some moss, is it looking a lil bit beter so far?
