What Do I Do With My Empty Tank

i have a empty 9 gal tank which i was using as a nursey tank but since adding more plants i have no need for a nursery tank and also have LOADS of baby fry (guppy, plattie, soon soardtail i hope). so i have said my daughter could have it a s hers now what do i put in it any ideas.

She wants frog / crab or somthing like that but ive had no experience with them and dont know if they would work.

She doesnt want things like tetras as they are "boring and crappy" her words not mine.

so does anyone have any ideas, i dont think i could have a betta as the tank has a mirror on the back.

Could you cover the mirror in some way? Then you could have a betta.

You could have 2 of the albino dwarf frogs in there! Do a search on them and you will come up with plenty of info. Im sure she would find these exciting!

No albino dwarf frog. Only albino clawed frog (ACF), which come in albino and normal brown and African dwarf frog (ADF), which only come in brown.

Only legal crayfish in the UK grows to 8" so would be too big.

Depending on dimensions, an ACF would work, group of ADF's, bamboo shrimp, amano shrimp etc. could work as well.

What about a puffer?

I vote a puffer as youngsters can grow very attached to them and they are worth their weight in gold for entertainment value , just remember though that they are actually cute gangsters.

Ive got a small 8 Gall tank lying about that i cant think what to do with because its so small. was thinking sticklebacks or something (they build nests like little weed iglues, very cool to watch.

suppose i could keep tetra or something there but i prefer one larger sized fish to 3-4 small ones. used to have 3 small gudgeon in it till they went into my pond (got large)

A group of African Dwarf Frogs do sound perfect!

You could have 2 Frogs in a 9 Gallon. You could have one Crab in a in a 9 gallon, but I have read posts from people that Aquarium Crabs need Brakish water. For one Crayfish you need at least a 20 gallon tank.

Tetras, guppies Few platys, Betta, few swordtail fish and few mollies Etc

I also was thinking of Ghost Shrimp, but the sounds of it your daughter is under 10 and she will not like shrimp.

ok i just want to check my daugheter likes the idea of frogs which type Clawed frog and wheres the place place to reserce them. the tank mesures 18x12x12 i think.

Sea Monkeys!!! Or a turtle(boring as watching wallpaper fall off the wall) what about Sea Monkeys? Bark Scorpions are fun to play with, since if they sting you you get to be violently ill, a few of those would liven up things a bit! Just turn over a rock in south Arizona and you could find a few for free!!! (Sorry I have to be a comic for my own sake some times, I suffer from SAC (smart-ass complex(better than being a dumb-skit))!
