So I was wondering what angelfish eggs look like a couple hours before they hatch, as for I have angel eggs that are on their 3rd day. This morning they where round. I look again 20 minutes ago and some have a pointed shape to them. They kind of look like a tear drop. What do you guys think? =)

I think you'll have wigglers in under 24 hours.

Agreed. As long as they don't go white, they should hatch within 72 hours of being laid. Good luck!

Thanks guys. But they ate the eggs in the middle of the night. :(

Yes, I leave the lights on at night too. :good: It does make me wonder why they ate them though, they never would touch the before. Maybe they where wiggling and mom and dad didnt know what to think so they ate them...

Most cichlids will get it wrong a few times before they get it right.
Whats the rest of your stocking like? Is it possible to set up a breeding/hatching tank just for them?

This is there 4th spawn..They are in their own 20g. I also have a breeding pair of Kois that are in a 20g. =) On my Kois first spawn he only 'missed' like 40 out of 300ish eggs! Now she is starting to get ready to spawn again. I would of had wigglers, but they thought it was a good idea to make a snack out of the eggs. So next time they spawn I will move them or something like that. And they ate them the day they where going to hatch!
