Hi all, i have recently converted my 5ft bow fronted oddball tank over to a planted tank with numerous small community fish.
I've kept the over filtration (Large Eheim and Fluval FX5) but have put the outlets behind a baffle in the corner of the tank which keeps the surface agitation and general flow through the tank to a minimum. (which i have been told is better for plant growth)

On the tank there are 4 x T8s (which in time and with funds allowing i will upgrade to an overtank luminare with T5s)

Now down to the real question. I am looking at going down the CO2 route and have enquired at my LFS, who have pointed me in the direction of the Dennerle CO2 Classic-Line - Exclusive 2kg.
Its recommended for tanks up to 5,000 litres. is this not a bit excessive on my 400 litre tank?
It does seem to come with a better diffuser than the other dennerle options though.

any opinions would be greatly appreciated as i am a bit lost when it comes to this CO2 stuff!

Hi

The 2kg cylinder means you will have to get it refilled less which is a good thing. I have a 3kg co2 canister which will last me about a year probably lol :)

I have the denerle kit - i got the 500g kit and just got the new clyinder. I am very impressed
