I picked up 3 Rainbows from my LFS but they were on sale in an "Assorted" tank with various species. Two of them are the same and one is different. They are starting to get some colours now. Bascally heres a picture of the two types:

I have two of these guys, the image is a little off on their colour for some reason but they have a black stripe, then yellowish, then another black stripe down the middle of their body. Yesterday their fins started to go red

This guy (on the right) has a single larger black stripe down the center of their body, and above it theres a hint of turquoise shine on his scales. Reminds me of the turquoise rainbow fish they had, but looks a little different

I'll look up that breed, its hard to get a good picture of them because they never stop moving long enough for my phone or tablet to get a focus shot on them

I think you have to wait awhile to really tell. I heard Rainbows need a stable environment/good food to really show of their colors. So the dull colors you see the LFS is not what they will look like in a few months.

The multi striped one could be common Australian rainbows. The dark one looks like a female or young turquoise rainbow to me.

I know it can take months for them to.get their.colour, thats why I got them. These two already are starting to change colour and get brighter just wanted to see what the end result might be

Could the black stripe be a kamaka rainbow? Hard to tell from the lighting.
