topic says it all :)

Hi there EyesofGreen. OK I admit it, you are right. I find that I can usually sex a guppy at about 6 to 8 weeks old, but it will be a while after that before they are mature enough to actually breed.

Buy 6-8 weeks you can defo spot the young males developing out, and yes they will then start breeding!!!

I was just wondering because if you look online, you find answers ranging from 4 weeks to 5 months!
I have always separated the fry as soon as I can sex them, but I have been hearing from others that they keep their fry together for MONTHS - just curious is all :)

Some males do take a long time, but at around 4 weeks you can spot the gravid stop on females.

It's just practice to lurn what to look for.
