My tank is suburbia, all the fish are compatible, they get up at 8 and have a swim round until breakfast at 10 am, they eat 2.5 flakes, and poop just enough ammonia to feed the media, (the daily mail springs to mind) if I had a TV in the tank they would be sat watching it after tea,my question is, should I bring them in to the real world and get some tiger barbs,.........or WHAT!! :hyper:

I would go with Black Ruby Barbs instead. The females look like Tigers (so you got that aspect there), but the males are much more colorful and attractive. PLUS, they are not as nippy.

I have got 16 and they are beautiful when they shoal around the tank with a multitude of glimmering shades.

Thanks for that fishprotector, that sounds like a good idea, have made a note......

I love my tiger barbs as i have 12 in my 5ft tank (4 tiger, 4 green & 4 albino's). They are great to watch them interact with each other and touch wood, i have never had any aggression issues with them so long as they are kept in a big enough shoal.
At the moment its my pair of GBR's that are bothering my tigers!!! Lol. Hence, i think they make great dither fish although they are greedy buggers hence, your fish need to be quite boisterous also in order to get some food or you need to feed carefully (i just bought a turkey baster so i can squirt frozen bloodworm, etc down to the floor of my aquarium otherwise my GBR's wont get any.
Good luck with your choice!
