Yep!! I can relate to that.... Over here in S.A. a tin that size would be well in excess of R1 500.... But to me, it is an essential first food for most all of my babies, so I have no choice.......

Is anyone willing to send me a small sample of brine shrimp eggs? 
I would like to try growing some before I buy.
I know they are cheap, but the closest one sells the cheapest for £99.99 as you have read, and the next closest fish shop is a 45 min drive away!
