Guy's gotta be off his rocker. I can get a small barrel of the stuff for $100 an hour's drive from where I live, and if I'm up on my conversion rates, that's still half that price.

I'd post a review snippet of the place in the LFS list stickies in tropical discussion and mention the price.

It sounds like he was showing you a very large container. I am used to seeing BBS eggs in a small tube that might possibly hold 10ML of the eggs for a few dollars but for a tin big enough to hold canned fruit, I would expect a very large price. I can't imagine using that many eggs before they all died anyway so would never get such a large amount.
