yes provided you have a Florida Freshwater Fishing License and obey the wildlife rules, there is no problem.
many of the fish we catch are exotics that are invading on native fish's habitats anyways.

Its not all that great guys, we have terrible tap water down here. Around 8.8 pH. Ugh. Trojannemo, what part of Miami do you live in? I havent really seen any other South Floridians around here. Which park are you talking about that made fishing legal?

I'm in Hialeah.
Dade county started stocking public parks with fish and made it legal to fish in them provided you have a license.
if you search for it on google a list of the parks comes up. i've already caught some at Tropical Park down on Bird Road, as well as having caught before at the park i'm going to tomorrow morning, Amelia Earhart(sp?) off Le Jeune in Hialeah.

you have tap water at 8.8ph? mine is about 7.2-7.4. at first I thought my wood was lowering the pH in my rainbow tank, but it's the same in my parent's cichlid tank and in our turtle tank...unless aquasafe lowers ph or my api kit is useless

In england were not even "technically" aloud to pick dasies as they are wild flowers so I very much doubt we would be aloud to keep fish that were caught or even catch them in the first place
