Went Away For 2 Days And This Happens.....

right then so i go away for 2 days and when i get back.....

the tank has had loads of water evapouration,
my canister filter had been running dry. luckily i had internals too
my heater was half out of the water

and on my 2nd tank, i had 4 fish dead from whitespot that suddenly turned up.

Sounds like a # of things, did you leave the light on? next to a window? or maybe your pump is leaking was there any water on the floor?
I feel like your canister might have a leak and it was getting suck up and out of the tank, have you filled your tank back up ? 2nd Tank sounds like ick i would change the water in there 100% wit hot water to kill the ick they have chemicals for ick at you lfs.

Even the short looking tank in your avatar should not run into such low levels in just 2 days Matthew. As Fishman said, I would be looking for where the water went. A very high evaporation rate might possibly drop level by an inch a day but not enough to uncover a heater or make a canister run dry. You likely have a leak and now need to do some detective work to find it.

its because the tank is so shallow and the temp is high for whitespot

ive changed tanks today and gotten a deeper one.
now a 30x15x12
