I transfered my last fish today to their new tank. I had this whole thing planned out. Put the net over his head, grab the tail. Simple, right? Wrong!
I had successfully gotten his head inside the net, but wasn't expecting the razor sharp spines awaiting my hand on his tail. Not only is this fish a giant hunk of muscle, but now I have spines to tear up my hands. After trying gloves, I had to scoop him up into a Kool-Aid pitcher and just dump him into the tank. Definitely not the way I had planned it.

Hi Val. I'm so sorry...I was gonna mention the spines.
You can really get hurt...ask Dragon. :/
Glad u made it thru.

Spines!!

You grabbed hold of the tail end but the body of the fish. When i did it i think i must have held his tail fin.

But these plecs are i thin made of just muscle and bone :)

But use plenty of cream and your hands will be good as new :)

val-just a quick tip for ya ;) do not net plecos or pretty much any catfish  it's almost impossible not to get them tangled in the mess.what you did
had to scoop him up into a Kool-Aid pitcher and just dump him into the tank
