Hello,
I have just spotted this weird snail egg. Have no idea if this is from a previous batch or new ones but there is one which is really yellow and not transparent. Is this a nerite snail egg? I have never added salt to the tank. What can it be? See attached file.

nerite snails lay little white eggs, nearly impossible to remove, looks nothing like the image you sent. you sure you have nerites?
Yes. Definitely nerite snail eggs but the image quality is bad. They have laid eggs before and I have watched the snails lay the eggs with my own eyes. Perhaps they are fertilized.

that would be interesting. I did a quick google search, turns out that they sometimes do produce fertile eggs in freshwater, but the larvae rarely survive. Is it just one snail you have? I suppose you should just pay attention to them. Maybe post if you see something interesting?
