Hi, Im hoping some body can help me to find out whats growing in my tank, ive just noticed a few days ago that ther was some stringy jelly stuff on the screen at the front of the tank. I cleaned it with a sponge when i did a water change but its appeared again and now i can see these little white maget looking things sliding around, they are so tiny just about see them. thers seems to be loads of them, any idea what it could be?????

its actually a cichlid tank with a pair of Johanni, yellow lab, Albino Zebra Cichlid, african congo cichlid, senegal bichir, and a yellow belly slider.

My temperature is at 26 degrees and my PH is 7.3.

Any help will be great...thanks

Problably planaria. You'll know for sure by googling. Tons of good stuff on aquarium creepies HERE: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=277805

Hey thanks alot mate that was a fast reply and yes thats what it looks like, i wonder how i can get rid of them although they are harmless, the jelly stuff makes the tank look misty.

Cut back on food. They live off of scraps. Also, some aquarium salt for a month or so may gradually kill them off/make it harder for them to breed. If you want a head-start, give your gravel a good vacuum and rinse your decor.
