After finally getting my co2 up and running again, I'm noticing strange behaviour with the needle valve.
My bubble counter is contained within my external reactor and I've set the valve for 1 bubble a second which is fine.... until it comes to the seventh bubble when there is a pause and then two bubbles nearly together.

I'm sure the bubbles also look larger than normal.

I swear, if I ever get this going properly, I'm never going to touch it again

Most likely a non return valve causing that to happen. Not a problem but if it annoys you try using a different one.

I had pretty much the same thing (although a lil bit worse) was the CO2 tubing... Black soft tubing was no good for me, had to buy some Rhinox...

Another thing I meant to ask someone was if you're doing a water change, do you turn your Co2 off ?
Bearing in mind mine is returning via an external reactor and the spraybar (pointed down and slightly out).

TIA

Peter
