Ok, this is taken from liveaquaria.com Not a good reef dweller, the Coral Beauty Angelfish is prone to nip at stony and soft corals (sessile invertebrates). I was told it won't touch a Toadstool Leather Coral. Also, it says nothing about it eating or nipping at LPS, and I was told it would. I am really confused. All help will be greatly appreciated. :)

They are the least likely of Angel to nip at corals.
I've spent time watching the one we had at the LFS and it was very peaceful, didn't see it touch a coral. Unlike the Flame that constantly does it :X

I feed them once in the morning and once at night, and there is plenty of live rock in my tank.

While they aren't the least likely angels to nip a coral, they do fall somewhere in the "lower middle". Keep feeding well, as if the angel were to nip a coral out of hunger, he probably won't stop.

Well, it is weird that is says it will nip at soft corals. I was told it would not. Also it says nothing about LPS, is LPS safe to have?

LPS are stony corals. Also I don't think they meant that it will always nip at all corals, just be cautious with it. :good:

Ok, I will start out with some Leather Toadstool Coral, and if he doesn't chomp at it, maybe I will incorporate some corals.

Toadstools (or Sarcophyton as I prefer) are very noxious, and thus a good choice to put with a potential eater.

Yeah they tend to leave toadstools alone. Although I've read that they go after others, the most common reports of dwarf angel nipping are towards long-polyped SPS (Pocillipora, Stylophora, Millepora), and especially open brain corals
