Waterlife Cuprazin And Protozin

What's the difference? They both say they mainly treat whitespot but that's confusing coming from the same manufactuer. Is one stronger/better than the other?

have no idea tbh but i used protozin successfully - hasnt come back :good:

used heat treatment with it too.

Thanks. I think the new Neons may have it. At least I hope it's that and nothing worse. There's only a few white spots and not on all of them so I'm not gonna jump the gun but have ordered some Protozin just in case. It won't come for a few days which I guess is about right to know either way. I'm kinda hoping it's just their own "markings" but that's prob wishful thinking lol.

Oh and ps, will it stain my tank?

no shouldnt stain your tank

do they look like the size of a grain of sand? should be easy to treat. you can start treatment now by starting to raise the temp in the tank - you'll need to raise it to 30 degrees gradually over a couple of days. and keep it like that for about 2 weeks. it speeds up the life cycle of the parasite, so it dies quicker. once you see the white spots have fallen off after a few days of treatment/raised temp hoover the bottom too.

do you have any other fish in the tank?

Yeah all the ones in my sig. I'm a little concerned about the Pygmys with the high temp?

Yeah I actually thought it was a very pale grain of sand on one of them. But it's still there 2 hours later so I guess not lol.

ah ok, sorry (duuuur!) tbh im not sure. i had 5 adult bronze corys in my tank when i treated for ich, and they were fine. it was the platys which showed more distress (just breathing heavy and staying at the top more, til i increased aeration significantly).

im sure someone will answer that Q for you - i'd post in the emergency section so that your Q is answered quickly, before the treatment arrives
