reading this has made me think a bit i will still use the stuff just might cut down on doseage as its can get expencve with changng about 9gal from each tank each week

Buy a more concentrated dechlor- pond stuff lasts ages. Or just look for a very concentrated brand- one I used a while ago needed jsut three drops per gallon.
