Hi there , at the moment I am researching stuff for a Tanganyika tank. On some of the threads and journals I see people using a powerhead for water circulation , such as Hydor Koralia NANO Circulation Pump http

Was wondering if this is necessary for the fish (do they like a bit of current ?) or is it just to ensure no dead spots in the tank ?
Any help on this one greatly appreciated
