Water change

Yep, never had the problem, but hear it happens. The pet shop I visited yesterday was selling assassin snails for $2.99 each. The owner of the shop said they will eat unwanted snails.
I would suck them up but as I've put more plants in the tank there is not many places I can suck them up without disturbing the plants. I will still try and suck them up and will ask the pet shop if they have the assassin snail.

Please do not flush any aquatic waste into our water systems. Bury it in the garden instead. Parasites, chemicals or bacteria can be transferred to other species and cause damage to the natural environment.
Here in the US our sewage plants treat water, a complex process. Much worse than “aquatic waste“ goes down the drains.

I always do it a bucket at a time;
Water conditioner into bucket.
Tapwater into bucket.
Bucket water into tank.
Repeat.
How much water conditioner per bucket? I use Prime conditioner. It says 5ml for every 200 litre. I have a 70 L tank. I put 0.5ml of conditioner in for 2 buckets into the first bucket . So you suggest putting 0.25ml into each new bucket of water?

Let's start again...what's the capacity of the bucket?

I have to do a water change tomorrow night. I was going to do it tonight but I'm too tired now. I also need to trim the plants. I will cut the plants first then syphon the water then replant the cutting and then add the clean water. It's a big job. It's been 10 days since my last one . I haven't tested the water. I might test after a water change this time. Hopefully I'll get some time in the day because to here is more light to see the plants.
