im doing a 60% water change and I have a fluval u4 internal filter should I turn it off or leave it on when I do my 60% water change and should I move it to the bottom of the tank

Turn it off yes :).. Do you do 60% weekly? If so that's quite alot
 
Turn it off and give at least one side of the filter's pads (both the sponge and carbon) a good rinse in removed water, you might be shocked at how much more powerful the filter will be afterwards!

Not if he is doing a fishless cycle. Dont touch the filter at all it wont need cleaning. Turn it off for your WC's though.

When putting your hand in the tank always turn of all electrics at the mains, public forum saftey firsy guys :good:
