Fish Fanatic
This is probably one of those things that is either obvious, or is an acquired knack, but how do you all put the new water into the tank?
Getting tghe water out of the tank is easy, I use my gravel filter and siphon it out. However how do you put fresh water in? When I was starting the tank I just poured buckets of water in and then dechlorinated, but now that the fish are in I need to be more gentle. I have to decholrinate the water first, which means filling a large bucket and adding the chems, but how do you move the water from bucket to tank?
Options I see are:
a) Lift bucket and pour. Downsides: Very heavy bucket, spilled water, agitated fish.
b) Use a jug to transfer the water. Downsides: Tedious and time consuming
c) Use an electric pump. Downsides: I wish I had one
d) Lift bucket, siphon water out: Downsides bucket heavy, nowhere to rest while siphoning.
So I come to the conclusion that the jug is the only way to go. Anyone got any tips or other methods they could suggest?
Many thanks
Ryan
