Was Wondering About Jambos` Fins

now and again he has his top fin up,( like hairs on the back of his neck standing up) its usually when he just hovering watching the world go by, hes certainly not spooked or anything when it happens, seems as laid back as ever, just wondered if anyone knew why he does it- tho i spose its quite normal, id be interested to know-just to make sure everything is in order

ooh forgot to add that all the tests in the tank are spot on

i always noticed fish to do this when feeling in a natural state(not just by surroundings). hes comfortable. ive seen fish, when stressed, release their muscles so the fin goes down. also, maybe being king of the tank. i had 3 blue gills once and my big one always had his flared. the other two smaller ones seemed to wimper. even though hes probably by himself,(guessing) he still owns the tank. btw im a big oscar fan...my power went out on a 6 day vacation and i came back to him floating...he probably weighed in at around 2.5 lbs (12 inches)

oh sorry to hear that, id be lost without this guy,i had to remove the other that i had as he wasnt happy to share the tank anymore and resulted in quite a nasty attack overnight.heres a pic i just took,he stuffing his face with prawns (amazes me how much he can get in there !
