Fish Crazy
Lo all, I used to really be into fishkeeping and used to spend all my time and money (well, pocket money) on fish and my fish tank, but I'm talking like 3/4 years back. And well, sadly, since then I've found some other hobby's and lost more and more interest in fishkeeping, and neglected my fish tank to a certain degree, well I'm now a tad older and got more free time now with going to college and such so I fancy giving fishkeeping another go.
I've got a Juwel Rekord 60 at the mo, and its seen better days (tank itself is fine), heres a pic when it was in its prime:
To be honest it was overstocked back then, quite a lot overstocked, had waay too many fish (being 13ish y.o., I didn't realise at the time), in the tank at the minute I have one ram and two khuli loach, some bogwood and a stone, and it's looking a little bare, so I'm just after some sort of advice. I'm wanting to get some real plants back in, was thinking of buying this http
/www.java-plants.com/product_info.ph...products_id=254 as my last plants were from java and iirc they were good quality. And then buying a few corydoras and some neon tetra's, just to add some excitement to the tank. So has anyone got any advice on the best way to 'spice' my tank back up and hopefully get back into fishkeeping, and are there any problems with what I suggested?
Also has any got a suggestion for a plant which will 'carpet' the tank? Sort of like a short grass? And if so would this be a heavy maintenance sort of thing?
Thanks,
J
