Hey guys i started my tank a year ago but lost all my fish due to a two day power cut :-( so i left it for a while and just came back to it 3 months ago its a 48 litre fishbox from interpet i know it is tiny dont keep telling me but i do a 50% water change every week because the population wich is:
1 male siamese fighter
4 halequin rasboras
6 xray tetras
6 armano shrimp
1 bristlenose plec
and 1 asassain snail

i know it sounds overstocked but maidenhead aquatics says it wasnt so i trust them but anyway i have 3 plastic plants and 3 marimo moss balls i would like more plants but as i am still at scholl with no money i cant pay for them so i was wondering if anyone with plants that need low light and no special substrate could be generous enough to send me some. thanks in advance to those who are generous enough to send me some plants.

It's not usually good to take chain stores advice to heart. A lot of times they'll tell you things just to make a sale.

Your tank is a bit tiny for 2 schooling species, I suggest rehoming the harlequins and upping your x-rays to 10. I wouldn't call it overstocked though.

i was thinking that to but instead of upping the tetras adding 4 endlers is that a bad idea ?

Yes, because the harlequins are a schooling species requiring 6+ so it's best to rehome them and just up the x-rays to 10 or vice versa. You could get 12 harlequins IMO if you get rid of the x-rays. Don't get endlers though.

thanks for the advice have you got any spare wood or anything lying about i could have if you do it would really help :good:

I have 1 piece but it's fairly small and I paid $4 for it and shipping would be like $8, so IMO it wouldn't be worth it to send to you. Go outside and look around for some wood! I've found some great stuff that way!

I also think you're in the UK whereas I'm in the US.
