Want To Add Shrimp In A Tank Thats Had Copper Med In

i have an old tank that was being used as a hospital tank for 1 of my discus. while he was in there i used several meds and at least 1 contained copper. i know shrimp dont like copper but i was wanting to use this for an upgrade for my shrimp tank thats getting too full of shrimp.....
its been sat empty for about a month with a couple of inches of water in the bottom that i forgot to remove if i gave it a good clean and added all the filters and decor from my current shrimp tank would they be ok?
if its possible whats the best way to prep it for the shrimp?

My 10gal shrimp tank has had copper medication in it, and the shrimp never had a problem with it. Same with my 29gal when it used to have shrimp.
Now I can't remember how long ago the copper med was in it before putting shrimp in to the tank though.
Maybe start off with only a couple of shrimp after you clean it out. See how well they do, and if they're fine add in some more?

I reckon so Matt. Clean your tank with a tiny amount of bleach the first time round, Like 1 part bleach - 25 parts water? Then clean it a few more times without the bleach, use an abrasive pad. I really can't see the copper being around then & great if your using the stuff from your current shrimp tank.

I've also heard bleach erodes copper to an extent, maybe this could have an impact in the process. If there are any copper remains kind of dried onto the sides of the tank im sure they will go after that.
