This is Thomasina. She is one of two female cats I own. Thomasina is 13 years old.
My friends cat had 6 kittens 13 years ago and I was given 2 kittens. The 2 things Thomas loves the most
are evening cuddles and Dreamies cat treats. Thomasina's favourite trick is catching mice without hurting
them and then letting it go in the house..

This is my Aussie Land Hermit Crab (coenobita variabilis), Atlas.

I’ve had Atlas for 2 years now. I got her as a boy but in the last year she turned into a girl! Hermit crabs can change sex as they moult however to due the lack of research into hermit crabs, the mechanism and reasons behind the change are still unknown. We speculate it’s to ensure there’s always a mix of breeding males and females in a population. Altas lives in my 4ft green themed tank with 6 other tank mates, Blossom, Fern, Juniper (the girls) and Silas, Parker and Scout (the boys).

My Hermie Journey started in November 2021 when I got my first hermit crabs. Back then, care information was so hard to find because people didn’t really know what they needed and there was no consideration on whether owners hermit crabs were thriving or merely surviving. Through my research I was lucky enough to find a hermit crab care support group where I met the amazing hermit crab mum, Tiffany; now founder of The Happy Hermie.

A year later in December 2022, I created Yellow Wattle Pets to share my love of our beautiful native fauna and flora. Through Yellow Wattle Pets I bred and sold native leaf and stick insects, bearded dragons and offered dog walking and exotic pet sitting services. In April 2023 I extended our services to include hermit crab rescue rehabilitation and rehoming services and founded our Hermit Crab rescue, Hermie Haven.

Fast forward to April 2025, I closed Hermie Haven after a successful 2 years and over 50 rescues, to work alongside Tiffany, packing orders at The Happy Hermie HQ and I take care of the Victoria sector of The Happy Hermie’s rescue and rehab!

Behold Tralfaz ! Tralfaz is my loyal companion and confidante . He sleeps most of the day and keeps me up at night letting him in and out . Tralfaz is a friend to anyone and everyone , he has no fear of people which isn’t such a good thing for a cat . He has one habit which endears him to me more than anything else . He does not like his litter box and prefers to go outside . He meows ( loudly ! ) at the door to get out in the same way a dog barks to get out . We adopted him from the shelter after somebody called the dog catcher on him . Before that he just showed up one day and never left . He is very much a creature of habit . I know exactly where he is and what he’s doing all the time . He’s a lot more like a dog than he is a cat . I think he’s a Flame Point Siamese because of his blue eyes and the Siamese trait of being a talker that he has . But , who knows , he’s Tralfaz more than he is anything else .

This is Teagan. My wife found him at her mother's apartment complex a couple years ago and adopted him. He's a butthead. Very dominant with the other, older cats we have. He also was in an accident with a car which crushed his hip and he had to have surgery for. So prob the most expensive cat ever as well. He's recoverd well and can jump normal as any other cat.
He has to have anxiety meds due to the accident. But we still love him. He's been stuck in his bed the past couple of days due to anxiety but usually he's not that bad and wants to go outside and play. We let him in the backyard and watch him like a hawk so as not to let him go in the front yard and into the street. We have a play tent for him in the backyard too.
