Go buy a slab, or in cubes of frozen brine shrimp (I have found this works best).
Then you can take a small cheese knife (This is what I use, but others use different things) And take out a chunk. You can let it defrost in warm water and feed, or do as I do, and allow it to quickly de-frost on the knife, then dip it in the water, and it will immediately be ready for them to eat. Then you just pack it back up and back to the freezer it goes. My cubes have been lasting me for the last few months. Great for conditioning too!
that's great thanks....fridge freezer broke last week so i can't atm!
how do people feed live foods? been thinking of getting sea monkeys and hatching my own brine shrimp for odin!

Sea monkeys are slow to reproduce in my experience, and they cost so much. So I highly suggest you just go out to your lfs, and buy a whole bunch of brine shrimp eggs. Far cheaper, and way more efficient :D

PS (They are the same thing as sea monkey (Artemia))

yeah I know they're the same :) do they hatch better or something, or do you just mean feed odin the eggs?

Nope I have found sea monkeys take longer to hatch, and are more cmmercial 'pets' than fish food. You can just hatch the regular brine shrimp with your own tupperware container or whatever, and hatch them all youself for 5 dollars, instead of spending 20 on sea monkeys. You also get far less sea monkeys.

wicked that sounds better to me, don't need commercial crap!
How do you catch and feed the brine shrimp??

They sell brine shrimp nets for a dollar I think, but another possibility is this:

Use an older coke bottle (pepsi 7up etc..). Add some salt to the water, and add all the eggs. After about 24 hours, they will begin hatching, and this is when you use your filter paper (can be a coffee filter) and cover the top of the bottle, and pour. You will see a few wiggling at the top if you look really closely. You then wash under some tap water and feed.

That should work too.

ahhh okies....I'm from the UK but I'm sure there are equivalents....or like you said coffee or tea filters would be fine!
Thanks monica, Odin's gonna be so spoilt for a bit.....got the 55 litre tank pretty much to himself (apart from pitbull pleco) and getting things to make him happy......he's already been blowing mini nests which he's only ever done once before all the other tankmates left....now he blows them everynight, but tiny ones, not really a safe thing he can blow them against, will see if his IAL makes him do it more :)
