Hey NickSw about the Anubias, if it is Anubias Barteri or similar then it is only the rhizome of the plant that needs to be kept out of the substrate (cause it will rot) but there should not be any problem with letting the roots from the rhizome grow into the substrate.

About the rooting onto the rocks! You could well be correct nick. Go fish this is your change to experiment so try and get them to grow onto the rocks, but its going to be difficult in such a hostile environment.

Background - yes, good tip! I will get rid of the nice planted scene tomorrow and turn over to the dark side :good:

Plants - will also have a go at these tomorrow

Rocks - will have a think about this. I will probably move some of them around as I am adding the fish, so may leave it until then ...

Am going to check out a few different LFSs tomorrow to try to sort out my stocklist. I have posted another thread on the ones I am thinking of keeping, so would welcome your comments there too.
