I mentioned my problems with my vinegar eel culture in the betta forum. But I gave up and ordered some recently from wormman.com. Unfortunately, it has been over a week now, and they haven't shipped, NOR have I gotten any response to emails!

Does anyone know of anyone else who sells them and can get them out quickly? I'll just do a charge-back for the order to him and buy from another source if I can find a decent one.

I don't really know of a website that you can buy from.  However, I have plenty of cultures going that I can send you one if you would like.  Just send me a PM.

I just got an email from the company, finally. They claim to have just started new cultures, which delayed everything for a bit. But they are scheduled to send it out this coming Monday.

Um, new culture delays it only one week? And you don't do the cultures in "round robin" style so you always have some to sell? And you don't respond to inquiries asking why the long wait? Why do I get the feeling my leg is being pulled?

So they offered to send me two vinegar eel cultures instead of one. Someone please explain to me how this makes up for everything? How are two starter cultures better than one? Either way, I probably still can't feed fry with it, right? I'll have to put the culture in a jar with ACV and apple slices, and wait for the population explosion. If I use the second culture they send for food, what happens when the "food" is gone, and my own supply hasn't really taken off yet?

Am I the only one who feels like something is really wrong with all of this?

In the meantime, THANK YOU Wildbetta for stepping up and helping me out!

Very welcome!  The culture I send should be good to feed off of straight off.  LOL  It is has been a long while since I have separated cultures so they are mainly eels.

Hmm, that tempts me to jar-up the female bettas on Sunday then. They should be ready - provided my white-tailed ghost shrimp stops STEALING blood worms from them... (Long story)

But I know better. I won't float them in male tanks until I actually receive the culture.
