Probably not recommended, but today I handefed my fahaka (don't worry, the chances of him nipping me are unlikely to say the least. He'd have to leap from the tank to do it.

I shot it on my new phone as well, a nokia N95. Amazing quality for a phone, youtube destroyed it with it's compression though really.

He's an awesome fish

Whats that little critter in there with him?
Clean up crew I take it?

And too small attract interest B)

He's a panda garra, Garra flavatra. Most people would advise on NOT keeping tankmates with a fahaka, and I would agree. i tried an ornate bichir with him, and with disastrous results within 2 minutes. The bichir is still healing now.

The only fish I would try are fast moving cyprinids. The fahaka has a fast burst of speed, but not as fast as the cyprinids used to river life.

Yeah, it's been done before by SirMinion on these forums, but for me, it didn't work out so good, the bichir has a nip out of his tail.

Each puffers it's own really :/

At least you had the nerve to put another fish in after the bichir incident lol

The other fish were in before the bichir, which made it even more misleading.
