Vicous Rost Tetra ?

hi i have only just started keeping tropical fish and only have a small tank (35 litres) i have 5 rosy tetra and 3 albino corydas.

i have noticed that the rosy tetra eat the fins and barbs of the cory , should this happen? i was told they both live togther fine ?

any advice would be greatful

Your tanks to small for rosy barbs and they are fin nippers.
I would take them back to the lfs or the corys.
What are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

there not rosy barbs there a form of tetra, i had the tetra for 6 weeks and the corys for 1
ammonia= 0.1ppm
nitrite=0ppm
nitrate=30ppm
ph= 7.3

You will have to rehome the tetra that's nipping fins I'm afraid.
