They are 2 beauties I take it theres been a bit of lip locking going on by the looks of their mouths. What type are they. We have 2 Atabapo but yours look quite a bit darker than ours.

True Heros Severus mate yeah they have been liplocking which is hopefully a sign that they will start to resume breeding

anyone noticed the black stripes on the male (the larger one at the back) been told the more bold the closer he is ready to breed

Or stressed, my Sevs barr up when i water change/move them around etc

Bars up means they are stressed, the bars are up on the rotkeil too in the pic thats one is stressed too. New fish, new tank they should settle in a few days.
