Watch the fish for sores and flicking and rubbing just to be on the safe side.

Will do, he was in my tropiqaurium 88 for treating along with the female.I think her problem is she got bullied though. .Reckon camebridge uni would inspect the fish for free if i posted it to them?

Measured him at 7 1/2 inches.Poor guy

Bless him he has some pink patches on him.
I would say for now bacterial.

OOOH sorry for leaving you in the time of greatest need. I feel liked I could have done more to save him. Ummm, well if it seems like it was just full of liquid, it probably was something bacterial. Maybe the bacteria produced alot of poisons or byproducts which made this bump grow. If this is true, gheavy bacterial treatment may be the only thing to help in the future.

Don't beat yourself up over it once bacterial infections progress there very hard to cure without anitbiotics.
