I hate comparing this site to others, but I wanted to ask why we don't have certain fish vendors/sellers. Other forums have people selling their fish commercially on the site and I find it an easy and reliable way to get rare and unusual fish, without going to the lfs all the time.

Just a thought.

Yup, except Atlantis and Aquatic Life Direct (the clue's in the title...). Besides, if you ask/look, there's more than enough sites in easy reach- Trimar, all the shops on Tropical Fish Finder that have mail order (including Wildwoods), various betta sellers...

Actually, a friend of mine is dealing with him right now.

True enough, but some sellers do not have sites of their own and only use Aquabid.com or forums as their advertisement areas. That is why I was wondering about this.

IMO, I think the real problem is that there are so many people from different parts of the world - Australia, UK, and the US.

I know, but I wanted to know why we didn't have more sponsored fish sellers, not just random people selling a lot of fish.

Could be a number of things.

Vendors might not find this forum attractive to sponsor because (as you mentioned) members are from all over the world, or that it isn't as active/popular as other forums, or that it isn't niche. After all, when you spend money to advertise, you're going to want a return. Or maybe the forum isn't looking for any more sponsors, since I don't see a contact form anywhere.

I have searched and checked out tons of forums... this is the only one that it does not matter what time day or night... there is always people here.
It is the biggest and most active forum I could find for fish. It is also the most family friendly... which is important. I would think that would be exactly what a sponsor would be looking for. Also no matter where they are... we have people from there. This site should be perfect... I would think.
I know a few places that I would like to see get linked up with TFF... I just don't know how to get it to happen. It would be nice if they did though...
