Veggies For Fish

We're going on holiday tomorrow and i wanted to leave the otos with food, but the only thing in the house is onion (nope...) and cabbage. A friend is coming to feed the fish, so she can get rid of it

BUT - is cabbage fish-poisonous?

This tank just has a platy and 2 otos

Form what i've seen, people do feed cabbage but a couple said their fish died afterwards Maybe it's the type of cabbage?

Hmmm... I'm not sure what to suggest.. hopefully someone in the know will reply on this thread..
